December 11, 1934: Sapporo Grand Hotel was established as "Hokkaido's first full-scale Western-style hotel" under the advocacy of the late Prince Chichibu. In July 2025, the main building guest rooms were reborn as "Grand Classic." The Executive Floor and exclusive "Executive Lounge" for guests staying in Grand in Grand have also been renovated. Enjoy a variety of food and drinks according to the time of day, including hotel bread, traditional apple pie sweets, hors d'oeuvres, Hokkaido specialty confections, and Hokkaido-exclusive wine and beer. Indulge in a refined and sophisticated experience perfected over time.
It was my first stay in Sapporo in a while, and I was truly happy to be welcomed so warmly as always. Thank you for upgrading me to a spacious Room, which allowed me to relax and enjoy my stay. There are many Hotels in Sapporo, but a long-established Hotel offers an unmatched sense of reassurance. I’m planning to visit again in September. I’m also looking forward to enjoying breakfast made with Hokkaido ingredients again.
We stayed here for our honeymoon. The bell staff guided us very smoothly, but the male staff member at the front desk seemed inexperienced, and we felt a bit uneasy about his Japanese. However, we were very satisfied because the Room was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options! The lounge had long opening hours, plenty of food and drink choices, and it was spacious and quiet, which we really liked. When we visit Hokkaido again, we would definitely like to stay in the same Room!
