This Hotel was wonderful in every way. The staff’s attentiveness was perfect. I kept wondering, “Why am I able to relax this much?” It felt almost unreal. The elevators arrived quickly, there were no crowds, and there was absolutely no stress. Recommended for anyone who wants to skip sightseeing and spend a quiet, relaxing time. I’m glad I stayed here! The Room, the view, the bath, the hospitality, and the meals—everything was wonderful. In particular, soaking in the open-air bath while looking out over the Tsugaru Strait was pure bliss. There was a small misunderstanding about my Reservation details and it caused an issue, but the Hotel staff responded kindly to my request, so their hospitality was excellent in that respect as well. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and was delicious, though I felt the seafood was fairly average (perhaps because my expectations for sashimi were especially high since this is Hakodate).

Everyone was always so pleasant, and our whole family had a wonderful time—thank you very much. I used the large public bath twice this time and tried the cosmetics provided, and by the next day my dry skin felt smooth again. Also, while walking along Miyajima’s shopping street, I found the grilled oysters with various sauces sold at the storefronts to be delicious, so I would be happy if they could be offered at dinner as well.

I made a Reservation as a gift for my daughter and her husband. They were delighted and said it was the best Ryokan they have ever stayed at. The sukiyaki was also very delicious. They were especially moved by the proprietress’s greeting and how everyone saw them off, waving until the car was out of sight. We look forward to visiting again next year. The Hotel’s Facility was excellent, and the service from all staff members was truly outstanding. We had originally made a Reservation for the “Daimyo Boat Breakfast,” but at that time it was difficult to operate due to the canal water level. Instead, the Hotel kindly arranged a special Yanagawa river cruise (Yanagawa Donkobune), which gave us a rare and wonderful experience. We are sincerely grateful.
