We stayed as a family of four with my parents and our 2-year-old toy poodle. The room was convenient and allowed us to enjoy a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and made our experience pleasant. Additionally, there was a walking path right next to the hotel, which was very convenient! It was an accommodation we would love to visit again.

It would be no exaggeration to say that this stay was the best among all the Hotels I have ever stayed at. Above all, the cuisine was truly outstanding—an experience that felt like “heaven.” The variety of dishes was impressive, and each ingredient freshly sourced from Amakusa was carefully and deliciously prepared. I was moved throughout the entire meal. When serving each dish, the staff also shared stories about the ingredients and wine, which made it especially enjoyable—not just eating, but appreciating the background as well. Everything was delicious, but what stood out most were the sushi with Amakusa kuruma prawns and Amakusa ishigaki sea bream, and the steak made with Amakusa black beef loin. Each dish brought out the best of its ingredients, and in particular, the steak had such concentrated flavor that it became an unforgettable plate. At breakfast, both “Kumasan no Kagayaki” rice and Tamango egg-over-rice were also incredibly delicious—I was impressed from first thing in the morning. The service was excellent as well. The staff’s warm and attentive hospitality left a strong impression. Everyone—including those in the kitchen—greeted us pleasantly, and thoughtful care could be felt everywhere. The Room was a villa type with each unit separate, so we hardly encountered other guests at all. We were able to relax in a private space at our own pace. From welcome drinks to checkout, every moment felt special—it was a truly fulfilling stay. This is a wonderful Accommodation that I would love to visit again.

Although it was a traditional Japanese-style Ryokan, the Room had beds and was very comfortable to use. We came for the wild mountain vegetables, and the meal—also featuring lingering cherry blossoms—really let us feel the season. If possible, we would have liked to enjoy more local wild mountain vegetables and regional ways of preparing them. Freshly harvested bamboo shoots from the grounds were available at a reasonable price. They even included Japanese pepper said to have been picked together, making it a wonderful souvenir.

The Room and meals were wonderful, and it was quiet, so we could relax and take our time. A friend came from Tokyo, and her husband found this Accommodation for us. This is an Accommodation where we truly want to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

This was the first Hotel where we could enjoy sunrise, sunset, and the night view over the peninsula from our Room. On top of that, the staff’s thoughtfulness was reflected in everything—the spotless cleanliness of the Room, the variety and arrangement of amenities, and even the selection of drinks in the refrigerator. It was simply outstanding. Communicating with the staff and manager was truly comforting, and they were so considerate with the Shuttle Service that we almost felt bad. Even a small comment would be met with “How about this?” as they did everything possible beyond any manual—so much so that we felt we shouldn’t casually mention anything. When we told them it was to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and new job, they created unforgettable memories for us with a handmade bouquet and a champagne toast. Our daughter kept saying to both the staff—and even on our flight home—that she would work hard and definitely come back again. It seems this Accommodation has become a goal for her. There is still so much more I can’t fit here, but among all the Hotels we have stayed at, this became our very best Accommodation. It was a warm place where you could truly feel everyone working together to think about how to make guests happy. Thank you very much. We will be back again.

The cuisine, hospitality, and Facility were all outstanding. Meals in particular were wonderful. Each dish was carefully prepared using local ingredients, and I couldn’t wait for the next course to arrive. The staff who served the meals also gave helpful advice on drinks and provided thorough explanations of each dish, so I was able to enjoy dining at a relaxed pace even as a solo female traveler. We stayed here on the final day of a 3-night, 4-day long-distance road trip from Fukuoka through Hiroshima, Shimane, and Yamaguchi. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s thoughtful, guest-focused hospitality made us feel warmly welcomed and truly comfortable. The Room we were shown was very spacious, and everything—from the bed to each amenity—was high quality, leaving us extremely satisfied. That day, the view from the balcony was breathtaking, and soaking in the open-air bath while looking at cherry blossoms in full bloom soothed our fatigue from the long drive. This is a place we would definitely love to stay at again—Bettei Otozure!

My long-held wish to stay here during cherry blossom season finally came true. After enjoying sightseeing at Amanohashidate, we took a bath and enjoyed delicious crab dishes until we were full—very satisfying. Having a free-flowing natural Onsen in the Room that you can enjoy 24 hours a day is truly luxurious. The night we stayed, we experienced torrential rain and thunder for the first time and felt the power of the Aso mountains, yet even then we could hear bush warblers singing. It was a trip where we fully enjoyed nature. The hosts were wonderful people, and I understand why this Accommodation is so hard to book. Breakfast was generous, and above all, every dish was delicious—another highlight of our stay. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.
