Hotel Atarayo Osaka

This was my first time staying at this kind of Hotel. I was worried about noise and comfort, but it wasn’t an issue at all. Everything in the Facility is clean. The staff were all from overseas, but they were polite and kind. The Room felt like a slightly larger version of the top bunk of a bunk bed—you can’t stand up, and the height is just barely enough to sit upright, but since I only needed it for sleeping, it didn’t bother me much. Maybe because it was on the second level, it felt hot unless I changed into loungewear. Since you have to climb up and down a ladder, people who aren’t confident with their legs or back should choose their Room carefully. Going down was especially tough. I expected it to be noisier, but there wasn’t much rustling and no one was talking, so it was quiet at night (this may depend on other guests). The amenities were well stocked, and they also lend loungewear, which was helpful. There are six showers and one bathtub; if it’s available, you can use the bathtub. I stayed from 23:00 to 08:00, so I chose this place because a regular Hotel would have felt like a waste for such a short stay. I’d consider staying again. The only hassle was that you can’t pack your luggage in the Room. You can bring small items in with you, but basically you leave your belongings in a locked locker on the same floor—since there’s no lock on the Room door—so not being able to keep your luggage with you or organize it felt slightly inconvenient.

I was going to a live show and just needed a place to sleep, so I wanted somewhere affordable. The Reviews were very good, so I decided to stay here. The place was very clean, and the front desk staff were friendly. Even though it was before check-in, they kindly held my luggage for me, so I didn’t have to struggle to find a locker. Since I can sleep anywhere, I’d definitely like to stay here again.
