Yatsugatake Kiyosato Highland Seisenryo Hotel & Cottages

Following last year’s Golden Week, I visited Seisenryo again. This time I stayed in a maisonette room; the bedroom, washbasin, and bathroom were on the second floor, so I felt comfortable and at ease. Both dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious—especially the wide variety of fresh vegetables—and the desserts were plentiful as well, which was very satisfying. The staff were kind, making it a very welcoming Accommodation.

Stayed in a Western-style Room in the new building. The best thing about this Room is definitely the fireplace! After staying here several times, I’ve gotten better at using it (lol). Everything—the Room, the atmosphere (including the staff)—was excellent, and since the weather was great this time, the starry sky viewed from the Room was amazing. As someone who loves meat, I found the meals a bit lacking, but my vegetable-loving family really enjoyed them. The large public bath isn’t an Onsen, but it’s spacious and also has an open-air bath, so the breeze feels wonderful. I’d love to visit many times, but due to cost I can only come about once a year—still, I’m looking forward to my next stay.
