Before visiting Himakajima, I researched accommodations and found that the reviews were not very favorable, so my expectations were low. However, the staff at the accommodation were all incredibly hospitable, providing exceptional service throughout my stay. While it was not an onsen, the large public bath was spacious and relaxing, offering a similar experience with views of Ise Bay and Mikawa Bay. The sunset from the room was extraordinary—a scene reminiscent of a novel's opening line describing "a magnificent twilight," visible across the peninsula. The only disappointment was hearing that octopus catches have been poor recently. I look forward to visiting again when I have another opportunity.

It was my first time using a youth hostel for a business trip, but it was very easy to talk to everyone, and the other guests maintained a comfortable distance, making it a very pleasant stay. They offered a shuttle service to the town-operated hot springs, and also provided transportation to the JR station, with a welcoming attitude of "ask us anything if you have any issues with your stay," which was really great. Located in Kiyosato Town, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Shari and a sky full of stars, they also offer services like recording footage with a drone. I highly recommend visiting if you want to create lasting memories.

I used this place for a reunion, and the sunset view from the Room was truly beautiful. The next morning, the weather was great, and the ocean view was stunning. The staff who assisted us responded to numerous requests and questions with kindness and without hesitation. The food was not only delicious but also included thoughtful touches like ice cream service, which made it very satisfying. The bathwater was quite hot (personal preference), and I thought having curtains in the changing area would be even better, but everything felt clean overall. The beautiful scenery and delicious food became truly memorable experiences. Thank you very much!

We stayed as a family of four, including a child who will turn 2 in a week and a 6-year-old (preschooler), with the main plan being to visit the Churaumi Aquarium on the second day. The location was easy to find thanks to clear signage. Since the parking lot is a bit far, we recommend checking in early, leaving your luggage in the room, and then heading out for activities. The room had two large beds, which was one of the reasons we chose this accommodation. The toilet and bathroom were separate, and it was helpful that you could take off your shoes before entering the room. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided. We rented extra towels for our children at an additional cost. The room was clean and comfortable; however, we had trouble with the shower as it didn’t provide consistent hot water despite operating the water heater switch in the room—it only lasted about 30 seconds at one temperature. Perhaps proper instructions would have helped resolve this issue? For families with long-haired children like ours, bringing your own hair dryer is recommended since the provided one has low airflow strength. Unfortunately, it was cloudy during our stay; otherwise, I believe we could have enjoyed beautiful ocean views from the balcony. The next morning we received bread for breakfast along with portions for our kids as well! However, note that their orange juice has a fizzy or tangy taste more suited for adults. Another reason we chose this accommodation is its excellent location—very close to Churaumi Aquarium! We arrived right when it opened and enjoyed watching whale sharks peacefully from in front of their large tank during quieter morning hours. Overall, considering its proximity to attractions and staying within budget limits made this stay very satisfying—thank you so much!

Dinner was an all-you-can-eat sukiyaki, and I was amazed by the incredibly tender and delicious meat. Breakfast included a variety of side dishes that went perfectly with unlimited rice, plus grilled meat in the morning! However, the site did not mention that dinner would include crab and sashimi platters or that breakfast offered unlimited shirasu (whitebait) and eggs. Even considering those points, the meals were absolutely fantastic. Additionally, during both breakfast and dinner, there were 2L bottles of juice available for unlimited refills (hot coffee and tea were also provided). Of course, the bath was amazing too. Unlike some reviews mentioning private baths being too hot, it was at a perfect temperature where you could comfortably soak for 30 minutes!

We stayed on 9/21 as a couple with our dog. The space was just right for us without any waste! The mini dog run in front of the Room had grass clippings left as they were, so we had to start by clearing them outside the fence ourselves... The large dog run was completely unmaintained and overgrown with grass, which was disappointing since we were looking forward to using it. We scheduled dinner at 7:00 PM, but it was already dark, and the light at the entrance alone wasn’t enough. It would have been nice if there were outdoor lights near the table. However, the food was delicious, and we enjoyed a relaxing time. Most importantly, not having to prepare or clean up ourselves was the best part! The breakfast sandwiches were also very tasty. We were looking forward to watching the sunset but couldn’t see it from our Room, which was unfortunate. I forgot to ask if there are ocean-view Rooms available for guests with dogs in general. Despite some points mentioned above, we had a wonderful time! Thank you very much!

Breakfast included bread and a buffet with Japanese dishes, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It also came with an Onsen. However, there are no convenience stores nearby. There were vending machines available though. The front desk is unattended, so everything is self-service. It was quiet and very pleasant overall.

This was my first time staying at an accommodation where we rented the entire property. The house was spacious, and the kids were thrilled! The view was amazing, and it felt truly luxurious! However, the road leading to the facility was quite complicated and steep. It felt narrow enough to wonder if a large car could pass through safely. When we unlocked the room and entered, the air conditioning wasn't on, so it took quite a while for it to cool down. There were some insects, but having a vacuum cleaner available was very helpful. The food was delicious! We had shabu-shabu, and I noticed there were a lot of shiitake mushrooms—quite amusing! There was plenty of food overall, but for big eaters, I recommend buying extra before arriving. Once inside, going out at night is challenging due to the complex roads. The amenities were high-quality and satisfying. However, since the dishwashing detergent provided is eco-friendly, it struggled with removing oil stains effectively. We stayed as a group of seven people. The rice cooker provided was small, so we had to cook rice in two batches. It would have been nice if there were sanitary boxes in the toilet. Although there were some minor concerns here and there, we truly felt luxurious during our stay, and we enjoyed spending quality time with family. The view was absolutely stunning—we left feeling very satisfied! Thank you very much!

I wanted a quick getaway with my dog, so I made a same-day reservation. There weren't many reviews on Yahoo! Travel or other reservation sites, so I was a bit nervous but decided to give it a try. The result exceeded my expectations! My dog also felt very relaxed. The only thing that bothered me was that the parking lot on the premises was quite small. Since our car is large, we were guided to another nearby parking lot instead. For breakfast, we had morning delivery from the café on the first floor and enjoyed it in our room—it was absolutely delicious! The view from the room was also stunning and left me deeply impressed. I would love to visit again when I need another quick escape nearby. Thank you very much!

The plan included a trailer house and BBQ for two people. The trailer house was clean and well-maintained inside. However, the toilet in the trailer was not functional, requiring the use of shared campground facilities, which might be inconvenient for small children, though the toilets themselves were clean. The water supply in the trailer house was also unavailable, with only a water tank provided. It was frustrating as it took effort to get water from the tank. There were tickets for Iyayu Onsen, and the Onsen experience was fantastic! However, we struggled to figure out how to ignite the BBQ grill since reception had already closed by that time. We managed by looking it up on our phones, but having no staff available during such situations can be concerning. The BBQ set for two had a decent amount of food. Due to strong winds, we attempted making baked sweet potatoes and apples over a campfire but had to extinguish it quickly as sparks were flying. With a beach right in front of us for water activities and excellent soundproofing inside the trailer house blocking outside noise completely, our stay was very comfortable!

I was able to relax and rest well. The breakfast was delicious, and it even included sashimi.

We stayed at the accommodation for a three-generation trip, as it was strongly requested by our grandchild. We didn't see any other Japanese guests during our stay. If we were more fluent in English, it would have been an even more enjoyable experience. We had breakfast at the attached café in the morning. Both the accommodation and café were stylishly designed and lovely places to be. The shower room was clean, though there was no bathtub. However, as Japanese people, especially seniors, we do miss soaking in a bath.

I stayed here on a No Meals Included basis to visit Gokase Highland Ski Resort. It’s about a 30-minute drive from the ski area, and guests can get lift tickets at half price, so this Accommodation is a huge help for those who want to stay overnight and ski on the weekend. The Room was very new and clean, with all the necessary amenities, and the heating worked well even in midwinter. You can’t fine-tune the temperature much, but even on “L” it was warm enough, so I turned off the heater at night and slept under a blanket without feeling cold. Given the location, there aren’t many restaurants nearby, so I felt it’s safest to arrange dinner at the Accommodation. I had considered just grabbing something from a convenience store if needed, but there happened to be an open table at the on-site restaurant that day, so I was able to enjoy a set meal with yamame (mountain trout) and tempura. Next time, I’d like to try a Plan that includes a dinner course.

We stayed as a couple with our large dog. There were two bedrooms, and the Room was very clean and lovely. The meals were excellent! The drinks in the refrigerator—including alcohol—were unlimited, and there was more than we could finish, leaving us completely full.

I made the Reservation thinking it was a Room with an enclosed veranda as shown in the Plan description and photos, but it was actually a Room without chairs (floor chairs are a bit difficult for me). I was also looking forward to the spiny lobster salad and gratin listed as sample dishes, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t have them. But I understand. That said, the sashimi and golden eye snapper were outstanding! The Accommodation staff were also very pleasant and helpful.
