The food was exceptional, with every dish being incredibly delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The Room was also lovely. Coincidentally, there were no other guests during our stay, so we had the place to ourselves, which made it quiet and enjoyable. This time of year might be a hidden gem!

This quiet riverside Accommodation was very relaxing; our Japanese-style Room had a sofa, and we could occasionally hear the song of bush warblers. Both the indoor bath and the open-air bath were pleasant, with excellent hot water. The meals made great use of local ingredients and were delicious. We would like to stay again when the season changes.

It was a wonderful Hotel with attentive hospitality. The weather happened to be great on the day of our stay, and we were especially moved by the beautiful sunset. The villa was located slightly uphill from the coastal road. The moment we opened the door, we were impressed by the stylish Room and the stunning view. The staff who guided us was very polite, and the food was delicious, making it a truly satisfying stay. Although it was just one night, we fully enjoyed Awaji Island. We would love to visit again with our dog!

We visited for my grandmother’s birthday. It’s newly opened and very clean, and even though we were staying at a Hotel, the food was better than many restaurants—we were truly impressed. When we mentioned it was her birthday, they brought flowers and shared lots of sightseeing recommendations. The service was excellent, and the amenities were high-quality and thoughtfully selected, which made our stay even better. It was my first time trying a magma sauna, so I was curious. I don’t like regular saunas because the dry heat is uncomfortable for me, but this sauna had steam as well despite being hot, so it was very easy to use—I went in three times. It seems you can make a Reservation for just the restaurant without staying overnight, so I’d like to visit again when I’m in the area.

As a treat for myself, I stayed at my beloved Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo. Spending a relaxing Hotel stay while taking in views that felt like a heavenly sanctuary was the perfect way to refresh. In the room, they had prepared a fruit plate with a message, Mandarin Oriental blend tea, and cereal cookies. Together with the chocolates I received at check-in, I savored each one carefully. For both dinner and breakfast, I used in-room dining and was able to enjoy my meal and drinks at a leisurely pace. Wanting to enjoy Valentine’s cake and chocolates with my drinks, I bought a heart-shaped cheesecake and heart-shaped chocolates from the gourmet shop on the first floor—it made for such a happy night. In the morning, I chose the Japanese set breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful tableware and the many carefully prepared dishes. The “Thank you always” message fruit plate became a wonderful memory—I took lots of photos after my meal. I also got to enjoy my favorite spa twice: once at night with sparkling city views, and again early in the morning at sunrise. I was also able to unwind in the in-room bathtub with hinoki bath salts. During magic hour at dusk and dawn—and while admiring the glittering night view—I felt truly grateful to be alive, filled with happiness and abundance. Thanks to all of your staff who supported me throughout my stay, it became an unforgettable 2-day/1-night experience right up until the very end. All rooms are clean and well-maintained, with spacious baths featuring excellent water quality and temperature. Meals were perfectly portioned, and even during a multiple night stay, the menu was completely different each day. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the breakfast area, but the breakfast itself was simple, homemade, and delicious. The male staff member with glasses was very kind and attentive to my mother, making this accommodation a place we definitely want to visit again.

We stayed here as a couple for our wedding anniversary. It seemed we had the place to ourselves by chance, so we were able to truly relax. Every dish was carefully prepared, and everything was a flavor we had never tried before—absolutely delicious. The owners were also very kind, and we had a wonderful time. Having experience in the accommodation industry myself, I can confidently say that the level of hospitality here is exceptional even from a professional perspective. Looking down at the Takase River from the Room, watching it flow gently and quietly is truly soothing. Instead of the Room’s gourmet bar being lined with FAUCHON pastries as before, it now features collaborative yatsuhashi, dorayaki, and arare—items you can only enjoy by staying here. The tea selection had changed from black tea to Japanese tea, but when I asked for FAUCHON black tea, they kindly prepared their signature TEA BAG for me. Thank you very much. Dinner is always beautifully presented and delicious, and my elderly mother happily finished every bite. We are looking forward to staying again.

We stayed again as a couple (with our dog) for the first time in two years. We heard it would start raining from the evening of our arrival day, so we came just after 1:00 p.m. hoping to let our dog play in the dog run. When we explained this at the front desk, they kindly said, “Of course,” and welcomed us right away. We let our dog play for over an hour and thought he must be tired, but before we knew it, it was time to check in. As always, everything was spotless down to every corner. All amenities were placed within easy reach, making for a comfortable start. He still wanted to play and kept staring at the dog run from the second-floor balcony, but raindrops began to fall, so they kindly took us by boat to New Awaji Main Building. We enjoyed a luxurious bath there, then took a wagon Shuttle Service back to Shimahana. Everywhere we went, all staff greeted us with warm smiles, and we were able to head into dinner feeling great as usual. The “Seasonal Delicacies Course” was an outstanding meal carefully prepared with seasonal ingredients—gentle enough for an older couple like us—and every dish left us feeling refreshed both physically and mentally. This is the number one reason we want to return again and again. The next morning we also enjoyed the breakfast buffet heartily (forgetting our age). As expected, everything was delicious. Because of yesterday’s rain our dog didn’t quite get enough exercise, but we left truly satisfied thanks to your wonderful hospitality. We hope to return again soon.
