This may not be the first thing to mention, but the bathrobe was so fluffy! The bedding was light, soft, and warm. The sheets were comfortably pressed—not too stiff or scratchy. The hair dryer was a Salonia, and I could really feel the attention to detail. There was also cleansing oil in the bath amenities. Above all, the food was outstanding; as an auberge-style Accommodation, we even enjoyed dessert, and they kindly brought the wine we couldn’t finish back to our Room. As for the meal itself: the first tomato mousse was unmistakably tomato and immediately won me over. The appetizers offered such a variety that my eyes kept wandering across the plate. For the main meat dish I chose pork—no tough parts at all, and it was cooked perfectly. The fish was black sea bream; its fluffy texture was incredible. Even the palate-cleansing sorbet had a light mint flavor that wasn’t overpowering—perfectly balanced. Each vegetable seemed cooked in a way that suited its character, with consistent texture throughout; you could tell how carefully everything was prepared. For wine, I shared my preferred budget and tastes and ordered one bottle of red plus one pairing set for one person—but I’m sure white would be just as enjoyable here too. The restaurant has large windows as well; sitting by them felt wonderfully open and airy. The interior colors were beautiful—not just classic—and gave an overseas feel. Breakfast pot-au-feu had gentle seasoning while bringing out each vegetable’s flavor; it may look like an ordinary meal at first glance, but it felt like a high-quality breakfast focused on substance rather than volume. Also—perhaps because they can’t provide proper care when fully booked—it didn’t feel crowded at all (even if it may have been full), so we enjoyed a quiet, truly relaxing stay. Watching Lake Hamana from our Room as dusk softly fell… then heading to dinner once it became too dark to read—that way of spending time felt like the best reward and a moment of real happiness for me. If I had to mention one thing: there is a step at the Room entrance. I forgot about it and nearly tripped a few times… A small downlight like a night light near that step would make it safer. Overall though, there were no real negatives—this was a wonderful Accommodation with genuine hospitality. Since I’m sure the menu changes with each season, I’d love to visit again.”

It was great to be able to enjoy YouTube on the projector in a detached house without worrying about the surroundings. There was no outside noise, and we had a quiet and comfortable stay. The Facility were well equipped, including a BALMUDA electric kettle, and the large bathtub was spacious and very relaxing. There was an indoor bouldering area, which our child really enjoyed. The net laid underneath also looked comfortable. The tableware being stored in boxes was convenient, but it would be even easier to use if labels on the outside showed what each box contains. We also really appreciated the map and information about nearby restaurants. It might be even clearer if the restaurant introduction page listed each shop’s map number next to its name. We had a very relaxing time. Thank you very much.

The club lounge allowed children to enter and had a luxurious yet playful vibe that made it comfortable for kids. The food menu was extensive, featuring kid-friendly options like chocolate fondue, pasta, fries, and pancakes—plenty to fill us up and leave us very satisfied.

We stayed as a family on a breakfast-only Plan. Although the Accommodation seemed to have quite a lot of Rooms, it never felt overly crowded, including the large public bath, so we were able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. With both the main bath and the open-air bath, the total area is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was exactly what you’d expect from a Ryokan breakfast, and we were very satisfied. The koi and turtles swimming in the lobby were wonderful. Keeping such a large building clean and well maintained must be challenging, but we would love to stay again.

Our stay at Ginrinsou was truly enjoyable and deeply relaxing. The setting, rooms, meals, Onsen, and service were all excellent, leaving us with wonderful memories—we would choose it again.

The location with views of Aso was excellent, and the Accommodation’s serene atmosphere and cleanliness were outstanding. Naturally, both the cuisine and the Onsen were superb, and I was impressed by the staff’s attentive hospitality—from parking guidance to the tour of the Accommodation and meal service. The washroom mirror was set too low for men, so it would have been better if it were a bit higher.

I’m glad I was able to stay at a great price during the limited-time sale. As expected from Mitsui’s top-tier Hotel brand, the building and the Room were excellent. I was especially satisfied with the delicious Thermal Spring experience and Toki dinner. However, it was disappointing that you can no longer enjoy buffet items with the Japanese breakfast, which seemed to be available before.

The bath on the 18th floor offers a stunning night view of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building from the open-air bath. Breakfast exceeded expectations with New Year's osechi dishes. About 80% of guests were from overseas, but everyone had good manners, and the bath area was kept clean. There is a 7-Eleven convenience store across the street.

Dinner featured a luxurious platter of Ise lobster, golden eye snapper (kinmedai), and turban shell (sazae) – all absolutely delicious. The tuna sashimi was exceptional! The kinmedai rice dish was also delightful and very filling. Breakfast served in-room was equally satisfying.
